Last night, Greg and I got to see the Mad Caddies perform again in Denver. (This was my third time to see them live, Greg’s fourth. ) Opening for them was Jon Gazi and Younger Than Neil. It was an awesome show!

Twenty Years
TWENTY YEARS. It isn’t our wedding anniversary, but today is still a big milestone for us. Twenty years ago today Greg came into the Godfather’s Pizza where I was working and asked me out on a date. I’m so glad he did. The picture of the left was taken by Adrianna during a visit to […]
Chip
The girls got to meet Chip (the CU mascot) yesterday at an event in Boulder yesterday. We were there with the Friends of International Students to meet a student from China, Yiou (pronounced Ee-Oh). When we learned Yiou hadn’t been to the mountains yet, we took her for a quick drive up to NCAR.
Peter / Pizza
We watched the anime movie Mary and the Witch’s Flower with the girls last week. The characters speak with a British accent and one of the main characters has the name of Peter. Rockies Game
Picnic and a Rockies Game (compliments of Greg’s employer). This was the first Rockies game for Bree and Cate. Adrianna had attended one when she was much younger. It was a lot of fun explaining baseball to Adrianna and Bree as the game went on. Of course, our Breezy girl had to plug her ears […]
Dwelling
I Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Twitter feed. And I love this post he made. I can’t begin to count how many times I’ve lost sleep over words I’ve said or things I wish I would have said.

We stayed two nights at the Snow Mountain Ranch – YMCA of the Rockies. Greg and the girls making hiking sticks for our afternoon hike. What you don’t see: for much of the mile hike to the waterfall (near Granby), one of the children was whining and complaining, often stopping to throw her stick to […]
Digital Drawing
Adrianna enjoys doing digital drawing on the iPad and on her laptop. These are her latest, created in sketch.io (a free online program.) I know a lot of people worry about their kids getting too much “screen time.” But this is a prime example of why it is important that we differentiate between the TYPES […]
Kindergarten
Kindergarten wore someone out (and it was only a half day today!)
First Day of School 2018
First Day of [Home]School. (Well, technically we’ve been doing some schoolwork for the last couple of weeks, but this was the first official day of their homeschool electives school.) Adrianna (8th Grade) Bree (3rd Grade)Cate (Kindergarten) Cate has been waiting for this day for MONTHS. She was ready to march off to school the day […]
