A Day in Downtown Denver

We decided to head downtown to the Denver Art Museum today since they were having a free admission day. This was our first visit there and Greg and I both enjoyed looking at the various art galleries. Greg’s favorite was the ancient Asian gallery whereas my favorites were the Renaissance art pieces as well as the Pre-Columbian art. Adrianna was pretty much bored throughout most of our time there, with her boredom broken up with the occasional hands-on kids’ exhibit.

From the windows of the museum, we saw a bunch of tents and people milling around nearby. We decided to check it out. Turns out it was the “People’s Fair”. We meandered around for awhile. One highlight of Adrianna’s day was the bubble machine they had in the kid’s area.

We rounded up the day with some time spent on the 16th Street Mall. Dinner on the patio at Rock Bottom Brewery, riding the free buses (another highlight for Adrianna), and watching the Robot Man by the Pavillions. He even asked Adrianna to “give him five” which, after a moment’s hesitation, she did.
