Today was Adrianna’s first day of preschool. For the summer session, she will attend two full days a week. When the fall session starts, she will go three full days a week.
She has been excited for preschool to start. We bought her a backpack last week and she had started wearing it around the house in anticipation of her first day.
When we arrived at school, Adrianna became a bit shy. She held my hand as we walked into the classroom. As we were getting ready to leave, she leaned into me and quietly said over and over, “I wanna be with you, Mommy.”
We got her settled in at one of the tables where some other kids were doing crafts. At this point, we were able to take our leave.
I was anxious to pick her up at the end of the day and to see how things went. Adrianna was chatty and from what I can gather, they sang songs (The Ants Go Marching, If You’re Happy and You Know it), she spelled her name for her teacher, played in the kitchen set, crawled like ants during the aforementioned “Ants” song, used glue, and had a nap time. Sounds like a fun first day.
Oh my, her hair is longer, she just looks older, and she’s going to SCHOOL! Our little girl is growing up so fast. Sounds like she’s going to enjoy it. I’m glad we got to see the place.
Seriously, when did she get so big? She looks SO GROWN up there! 🙂 Glad the day went well for her (and you)! 🙂
I agree, she is growing up! Such a sweet girl! I am glad she apparently had fun after all. Seems like I never wanted Mom to leave me the first few times at preschool either…
awww precious!! 🙂 We are trying to get layla and aidan enrolled in preschool here in the fall..meaning we need to step up and potty train aidan.
She is sooo grown up…i don’t think she is going to be a “little” girl much longer!! 🙂
But Cindy, you and Karen are still the “little girls” lol! Adrianna sure looks cute in these pictures, really precious…The first one with the backpack,she really looks proud 🙂
Oh, what a cutie! She looks so grown up. I’m glad she had a good first day at school! Wouldn’t that be great to have nap time at the office? So jealous!
