New rules in the Reimer household for awhile – No clothing changes unless Mom approves, including dress-up clothes. No crafting unless permission from Mom first. Also, if Mom finds items “stuffed away” in hidden places (under furniture, etc) rather than put away correctly, no screen time for the remainder of the day and possibly the next day.
I hate to put a damper on creativity, but after the phenomenal mess we are dealing with (much of which was stuffed away behind and under things), I told a certain 8yo that restrictions must be in place until I can trust her to put her things away correctly. I had recently taken their clothes hamper OUT of their room because I was tired of her putting clothes in there that weren’t necessarily dirty since she wears like 5 different outfits a day. So many of the clothes wound up being stuffed under the bed instead. ARGH.
