Thank you everyone for your kind comments, emails, and prayers. They are so appreciated! The remainder of this week has gone lots better, thankfully. No more recurrences, although the worry that it will come back is still very much present. But I am feeling encouraged for now.
Thursday night, Greg had a guys’ night. They started out at Gordon Biersch and then headed over to the movie theatre to watch the new Terminator movie.
Meanwhile, Adrianna and I decided to have a girls’ night. She was dressed in her Cinderella outfit and had an array of barettes in her hair and was thrilled that I let her wear it to Macaroni Grill for dinner.
After a delicious dinner of fettucine alfredo, I decided to go rent Disney’s Cinderella at Blockbuster. Adrianna had never seen the movie before and I figured it would go perfectly with her chosen attire. So we stayed up late watching Cinderella. I really like that it is less “dark” than some of the other Disney princess movies. The only scary parts for Adrianna involved the scenes with the mean cat, Lucifer, as he tried to catch Cinderella’s little mice friends. When Cinderella’s fairy godmother gave her the new blue dress and headband, Adrianna became very excited because it matched her outfit.
Adrianna loved the movie so much that we watched it again the next day before returning it to Blockbuster.
On Friday night, I had a bunco night with some girls from MOPS. I only knew a couple of the girls at the beginning, but I had such a good time. It was my first time playing bunco, and I loved the fast-paced game. I tied for first for the most buncos. Must be beginner’s luck. After Bunco, we also played Buzzword and Mad Gab. By the end, we were all getting pretty giggly and silly, which made Mad Gab even more hilarious.
This weekend has been another lazy weekend with lots of sleeping in and naps. Greg has been working in the yard a bit and resealed our deck and also put some bark underneath the swamp cooler. He saw a decent sized snake under the swamp cooler this afternoon, possibly a bull snake. I pulled a few weeds in the front yard, but hardly seem to have made a dent in them. And Adrianna is thrilled that our “sprinkles” (sprinklers) are up and running again.
Whatevs with your “beginner’s luck.” You are just scary good at games.
