April 19 Our fourth day of our California trip was spent at the beach. We ended up at Huntington Beach since the hotel we loved in Carlsbad did not have any vacancies. Huntington Beach was more touristy and not nearly as laid back as Carlsbad, but we still had a good time and enjoyed watching […]

Piñata
Throughout this past school year, Adrianna’s class at her homeschool co-op would study different countries. Earlier this month, they were studying Mexico, so as a fun ending to that unit they got to break a piñata. Parents were invited to come and watch. I enjoyed watching Adrianna interact with her friends. She is such a […]
Playing at the Park
I love Colorado’s mild weather, and this spring has been especially mild. We didn’t get any huge snowstorms like we usually do in March. Of course, this means a dry summer (and lots of wildfires) but at least the mountains received a good supply of snow so our water supply is okay. The mild weather […]
Bree Walks
Bree took her first steps over two weeks ago. And other than one brief moment a couple of days later where she took a couple of steps for Greg, she hasn’t done it since. Until today. Today she was walking all over the loft/playroom. Almost as if she’d been walking this entire time. Little stinker.

Afternoon at the Mall
Last Thursday, I met with some other Grace University alumni at the Colorado Mills Mall to talk about plans for a Grace chorale concert at Kelvin and Leah’s church. After the meeting, Adrianna, Bree and I went shopping. We ended up spending almost 5 hours at the mall! The two highlights for Adrianna were the […]
Bree at 13 Months
Our little Breezy girl is now 13 months old. She goes in to see the doctor for her 12 month checkup and shots this week (we’ve been a month behind schedule ever since she had RSV back at 3 months). I am anxious to see how much she has grown in height and in weight. […]
Gingerbread Girl
The homeschool co-op that Adrianna goes to had an end of semester program last week. Adrianna’s Kindergarten class sang a song about the Gingerbread Man while each wore a mask that they had made. (Adrianna informed me that hers was a gingerbread GIRL.) And sure enough, her mask had pink hair, red lips and a […]
Little Pianists
My little girls enjoy playing the piano. Adrianna seems to prefer the organ sound and likes to use the damper pedal. The almost-five year age difference between the girls has been pretty easy. Adrianna is very helpful and rarely seems jealous of Bree (except for the occasional moment when I pull out the camera trying […]
The Science of Ice Cream
We had our second homeschool field trip to enjoy a class, “The Science of Ice Cream”, at a local Children’s Museum. It was a fun science experiment to show the 3 different states of matter (solid, liquid and gas) with the yummy result of homemade ice cream to enjoy at the end. The solid was […]
