So many of my posts these days are about the cute things Adrianna says. I cannot help it; there are just so many endearing things about her speech that I want to remember and these moments pass so quickly.
When it comes to going up and down the stairs, Adrianna often requests to walk up them herself, requesting “Adri-wa-wa wop.” Other times, she will stop and hold up her arms and request, “Carry you” or “Hold you.”
Sometimes she will join me on the couch, happily stating, “Adri-wa-wa sit by Mommy, o-hay?”
When she makes such adorable requests, I cannot help but pick her up and squeeze her tight into a big hug.
Tonight as we went upstairs to put her to bed, she ran over to Greg to say goodnight. She reached out her arms and requested, “Hug Daddy.” After receiving a big hug from Greg, she then reached up and said, “Kiss Daddy.”
It is moments like these that totally override the tantrums and obedience difficulties that also come along with raising a two-year old.
When I was little, my mom used to say, “I wanna hold yun.” So I got into the habit of saying that to her when I wanted to be held.
