My Getting Tired Again

Adrianna is currently in the habit of using the word “my” for “I” or “I’m.” This results in some cute sentences. Sometimes after being ornery and coming out of a time out, she will sweetly ask me, “My naughty, Mommy?” Sometimes she will also ask this question TO be ornery, with a mischievous lilt to her voice.

She also tells Greg, upon first waking up in the morning, “My deh-ing tired da-dain, Daddy.” (I’m getting tired again, Daddy.)

She does use the word “my” correctly too though. Like tonight when we read a book together about a baby looking for his mommy while they play hide-and-seek. After he finds his mommy on the last page, Adrianna pointed and said, “Baby’s Mommy.” Then she reaches up and pats my cheek and said, “My Mommy.” Yes, it is good to be her Mommy.

  1. E does that too. Not with my but with me. He’ll say “tiene hambre me” and then he’ll ask me”tiene hambre mommy?” and I’ll say yes. And he’ll say, “me you tiene hambre” grammatically he’s supposed to conjugate ‘tener’ for each person but he never does. Javi was correcting him for awhile but everything Ive read said not to worry about grammar. Plus it’s just too cute. ANd how sweet is Adriana asking for Jesus luvs me. That’s so sweet!!!
