Our visit to Arrakis, er…I mean, the Great Sand Dunes in southern Colorado. I am currently reading “Dune” so it was hard not to picture it in my mind. hehe. Thankfully, there was no need for stillsuits! The idea of those gross me out. Tatooine came up in conversation while we were there, too.
We learned that these dunes (with their real name of “Great Sand Dunes” are the tallest in North America. They are in southern Colorado. It was a great day to visit. Not many people and weather only in the 70s.
