Typing out my “Letter of Intent to Homeschool” to our school district for next year (Colorado requirement). Hooray!
I didn’t have to do a letter of intent last year since Colorado law doesn’t require Kindergarten or school for kids under the age of 6. I have ordered all our curriculum except for science, which has been delegated to Greg since he wanted to choose our science. Now I just need to get a calendar out and actually start planning out my year.
I am all over the board this year. For Math, I ordered Abeka. For Reading, Writing and Spelling we are using BJU (Bob Jones). We will probably also do some more All About Spelling since I like their hands-on approach. For History and Literature, I am doing Sonlight again. I got Sonlight’s core program again because I love all the literature they include. So now we just need to figure out what we want for Science.
Adrianna will also be attending a homeschool co-op, one day a week, through the Aurora Public Schools and she will get art, science, math games, spanish, music, fun with language and P.E. classes.
