I am so thankful to have found a math curriculum with lots of visuals and manipulatives for my visual/spatial learner. It is a completely new way of looking at math, both in the doing and the teaching of it. But it also makes a lot of sense and does a good job explaining the WHYS […]

New Curriculum
Our homeschool electives school had their curriculum fair this week, where we could go and check out our curriculum options for next year. And now I just want to be DONE with this year’s curricula and start with next year’s shiny, new books right now. Because new books! At the same time, I am realizing […]
Prepping for 1st Grade
Typing out my “Letter of Intent to Homeschool” to our school district for next year (Colorado requirement). Hooray! Dolphin Adventure Book
We read Dolphin Adventure as a part of my daughter’s Kindergarten reading material. We were only planning on reading a couple of chapters tonight, but she loved it so much that she kept begging for more. We read the whole thing in one sitting and we both enjoyed it. Great story.

Adrianna and I just finished Twenty and Ten as a part of our Sonlight / homeschool Kindergarten reading. It prompted some great discussion. Now I need to get the movie loosely based on the book from Netflix (Miracle at Moreaux) so we can watch it together. Now we are reading Mary on Horseback.

We loved it so much that we read it all in two sittings rather than reading only a chapter a day for 10 days like the […]
Homeschool Curriculum
I LOVE books, so I was thrilled that Adrianna’s curriculum includes a lot of books for us to read together and/or for her to read. We both cannot wait to get started. This is just her history/reading classes. We also have some math books and math manipulatives to play with. I also went to the […]
