Remembering Memories

Adrianna is learning new things so quickly and she likes to recite what she has learned back to me, followed by a “right?” For instance, “Fruit makes you strong, right?” or “Sharks are bad, right?”

Frequently, she will repeat something back to me that occurred weeks or even months ago. I am often astounded at her memory, and usually tell her so.

Today, we were having one of our normal conversations after I picked her up from Janette’s.

Adrianna: Mommy, cars bite, right? So you always hold a hand, right?
Me: Yes, cars can hurt you. But I am so glad that you always hold my hand when we cross the street. (Note: I still am not sure where she picked up that they actually BITE, but I am glad she is cautious when crossing the street so I just go with it.)
Adrianna: Mommy, bees will bother you if you bother them, right?
Me: Yes, they will sting you if you bother them.
Adrianna: I have good rememberies, don’t I?
