Adrianna’s baptism at our church (The Table). We are so thankful to all of our family who drove out to share this special moment with us!

Inventing Room
Today’s field trip to the Inventing Room was super-cool, both in the figurative and the literal sense. Cheetos frozen in liquid nitrogen, along with ice cream and “exploding whipped cream” made with liquid nitrogen. Definitely not your typical dessert shop.
New Tent
We decided to practice setting up our new tent in preparation for our first tent camping trip in 14 years that is coming up next month. The girls are so excited that they even slept in the tent last night. (The tent is a little larger than I expected!)
Independent
Got to vote in my first election as an Independent. Felt pretty good! Thank you, Colorado, for making this an option for the roughly 37% of registered and active voters that previously did not have a voice in the primaries. How it works in Colorado is that you receive ballots for both the Republican and […]
Rock Band Camp
Adrianna attended “Rock Band Camp” last week. For only three hours a day, she and her bandmates learned two cover tunes and composed an original song together. Last night was their concert. Her band consisted of two guitar players, a drummer, a lead singer, and Adrianna on the keyboard. (And their instructor/mentor filled in on […]
Squirrel Nut Zippers
We scored some front row seats to see the Squirrel Nut Zippers in concert at the Arvada Center’s outdoor arena. This was the second time for Greg and I to see them live and Adrianna’s first. At first, I felt quite conspicuous taking videos from the front row, but eventually I got braver and I […]
Shell
When Bree first started riding with Miracles Therapeutic Riding four years ago, her favorite horse was a Fjord named Folly. We were sad when Folly passed away a couple of years ago due to colic. Chris, the owner of Miracles, happily told us this week that they were borrowing a beautiful Fjord horse named Shell […]
American Astronomical Society
The American Astronomical Society was in town for a convention and they invited local homeschoolers to come for an educational morning. Knowing Adrianna’s love of astronomy, I jumped at the chance! Since the event was at the Denver Sheraton hotel in downtown Denver, we decided to take the bus. The Flatiron Flyer is so convenient […]
An African Graduation Party
Our Congolese friend, S, invited us to her high school graduation party. Greg, the girls, and I happily went. Out of about 85-100 attendees, we were the only white attendees and the only ones who were native to America, other than any children who had been born to the other families since their arrival. Everyone […]
Whitney
We got to dog-sit Whitney while Karen and Zach had a fun day in Denver for their anniversary. The girls enjoyed having a dog for the day. She went garage sale-ing with us. 🙂
