The last two times we went to the zoo and also when we went to Prairie Rose last weekend, the train rides were either broken down or the tracks were flooded. Try explaining this to a two year old who has been talking about her previous train ride for months.
Adrianna: Tain?
Me: Sorry sweetie. The train is broken.
Adrianna: Tain boken?
Me: Yes, the train is broken. We will have to ride it another day.
Adrianna: Mommy fix it?
Me: I wish I could fix it baby girl, but the zoo will have to fix it.
She has been talking about the tain being boken for awhile, so I was so thankful that the train at the zoo was finally working again. After three times of excuses, I was afraid she would begin to think I was lying or making up excuses to not take her.
Adrianna was very happy to ride on the train. She was very serious about it and intently taking it all in.
She now asks to see certain animals by name or is quick to point out and name the ones she knows. At the top of her list this time was the elephants (ehphants), zebras (zebas), hippos (hibbos), sea lions, and polar bears (po beahs).
After a busy day at the zoo, she went to night-nights pretty easily. How many bears and how many babies can you find in this picture?
5 bears and 2 babies.
well i think i saw 5 bears, one baby…or 2 babies if you include Adrianna in that! hehe! I also see that my white bear is still one of her sleep buddies 🙂 good!
I remember Cindy and I used to LOVE riding the little train…I think at Scottsbluff Zoo is where that one was. Remember Cindy at the top of the slide? hehe
Hey, Mommy! Look!
