Adrianna had a special dinner event at youth group tonight. I cannot believe how grown up she is getting. She is wearing a pair of MY heels which put her almost as tall as me!
When Cate saw Adrianna coming down the stairs in her new dress and with her hair in curls, she exclaimed, “Adrianna, you look like a princess!” Then Cate disappeared for a few minutes, later emerging proudly with a pretty headband of her own, as well as a bracelet and a barrette.
After dropping Adrianna off at youth group, we took the little girls for a quick walk in the foothills near Boulder. Bree was so excited to be in the mountains. She comes alive when outside in nature, particularly the mountains or places with lots of trees. I’m not sure if it is the crisp, pine-scented mountain air or the physical work of a hike providing sensory input, but she gets really chatty whenever we go for walks in the mountains. She has a true appreciation for nature’s beauty.
