Automated voice systems are the worst thing in the world. Especially if you have small children talking in the background. It can’t understand a single thing I am saying. After manically pressing 0s and #s I finally got a live person.
Dealing with insurance and hospital bills all morning. Caught some discrepancies in how I was billed. It’s a big ol’ mess. The doctor at Urgent Care billed as an ER visit (instead of urgent care) AND as a separate office visit which made me owe TWO separate co-pays for ONE Urgent Care visit. Also, the urgent care submitted the same charge to insurance twice so insurance rejected one of them. I should only owe the co-pay says my insurance (and rightly so since they pay 100% after the co-pay on urgent care) but the Urgent Care is coming after me for the additional charge that insurance rejected.
In spite of all the headache this morning, I am thankful for some helpful people at my insurance company who are helping me get these fixed and hopefully I will get some refunds!
