This weekend was one spent lazing around the house and watching movies with Shad and Lynette. It was wonderful. My favorite movie that we watched was The Island with Ewan McGregor and Scarlett Johansson. I liked the premise of it, even though it was very disturbing (the story, not the movie itself). Plus, well, I just really like Ewan McGregor. Maybe it is the accent. Or maybe because I love that he can sing.
This evening, Greg was kind enough to watch Adrianna for me so I could go out shopping and have a few hours to myself. While I wasn’t successful on my actual clothes shopping spree, I did get myself a haircut and felt oh-so-pampered. My hair has gotten pretty long and was sorely needing a trim. I kept the overall length though, which leaves it a little over halfway down my back.
I also did some puppy window-shopping. There were some adorable dachshund puppies at the mall. Though I have told myself I do not ever want to support a pet store because of the whole puppy mill thing, at the same time I just want to swoop in and rescue all the poor dogs.
Greg has been playing his banjo for an hour straight (and still going). And that is just since I have been home. I am sure he played it while I was gone as well. I guess that new banjo was money well-spent, not that I was doubting it.
Okay, enough of my ramblings. It is probably apparent that I don’t have much on my mind tonight.
I hopped over here from And Katie Makes 3… just thought I would comment. I loved The Island, it was reviewed so badly I was afraid to rent it, but it ended up being pretty darn good if I do say so myself (and I do… say so myself). I also agree with the puppy mill issue. I won’t buy from pet stores… breeders only. How could you resist a dachshund? I couldn’t and here I am a year later with a seven pound mini-weenie who somehow manages to take up an entire king sized bed every single friggin night.
Greg’s pretty impressive on his banjo. I really love the way a banjo sounds. How did he learn to play? Im envious and wish I played a cool instrument, not a clarinet or a flute like they teach you in school but something like the guitar or banjo. Watching Greg makes me want to go out and pick one up today.
The puppies are so stinking cute, then they grow up!! My Gracie will have her first birthday tomorrow. They just get so big so fast.
Oh pups, they are ADORABLE! And oh so tempting!
I agree with the puppy mill issue. We rescued our chocolate lab from the animal shelter. I can’t believe you are a mom and still have time to take care of hair that long!
Its good that you had some time to yourself. That would be nice. Have never seen “The Island”. I do love Ewan M. though. Thanks for stopping by today!
Well, when I am at home, my hair is usually pulled back in a bun or a pony tail. Otherwise Adrianna has too much fun pulling on it. 🙂
