Molly

I was wondering why my kitchen floor had a more-than-normal amount of crumbs on it for the past couple of days and then I realized it is because our sweet dog, Molly, isn’t here to clean them up like she normally does. She really earns her keep as far as cleanup goes!

Poor Molly has a high fever due to a possible kidney infection, so she is getting pumped full of i.v. fluids at the vet for a couple of days to try to flush the infection out and bring her fever down. She hadn’t been acting like herself at all (not following me around, not eating, etc.), so I know she was pretty sick. I sure miss my little shadow / foot warmer.

Molly is home (for the holiday) since her fever has gone down, but we don’t have any answers yet. Now the vet is testing for auto-immune disease or possibly cancer. :( We’ll know more on Friday, hopefully. Poor Molly is still pretty lethargic but happy to be home.

After a week of many trips to the vet and an emergency removal of her spleen yesterday, it doesn’t look like our sweet dog, Molly, is going to get better. Her health continues to deteriorate and she’s very lethargic. There are a lot of weird things going on with her body and internal organs and the vets at 2 different clinics don’t have any answers for us, which is also hard.

I am heartbroken and cannot stop the flow of tears as we consider saying goodbye to her tonight. We’ve had her since her birth 9 years ago and she’s been my loyal shadow ever since. Thank you for praying for us.
