When the contractors were installing our hardwood flooring, the girls and I spent a lot of time in the basement. But the day the stain was put down on the floor produced a strong odor that drifted even downstairs. After awhile, I began to get a headache so I decided we should get a hotel for the night. It was a fun and very last-minute surprise for the girls. We stayed at a nearby Drury Inn and had the pool to ourselves!
