Our next stop in Northern Ireland was for lunch at a cafeteria. I had Irish Stew and Greg had Roast Beef. We had to pay in Pounds Sterling (rather than Euros like the rest of our Ireland trip) since we were in the UK.
Then it was on to Giant’s Causeway. Our bus driver, Paul, told us the tale of Irish giant Finn MacCool building the causeway as a bridge over to Scotland to fight another giant. This was one of my favorite stops in Ireland. The many basalt columns are amazing to behold, and make it easy to see why this has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Definitely a must-see if you are ever in this part of the UK.
