On Saturday, Greg and I got up really early and walked to the Molly Malone statue to await our full day tour, starting at 7am, with Paddywagon Tours. This tour took us up to Northern Ireland, which is still a part of the UK. Thankfully, the whole Brexit thing hasn’t taken effect yet, so crossing the border wasn’t a big deal. There isn’t really even a border (right now) other than just a nondescript sign. That may change soon.
Our first stop was the Dark Hedges, which is a beautiful row of beech trees that were planted by the Stuarts back in the 1800s.
Not the Dark Hedges, but a pretty tree nonetheless.
This is also not the Dark Hedges, but a nearby road that we thought was also pretty.
Our next stop of the day was to visit the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge. But sadly, it was too windy so the bridge was closed for safety reasons. We still enjoyed the view, but it was a disappointment to not be able to cross over the bridge. (But honestly, also a bit of a relief for me, too, due to my fear of heights!)

The faint mountains in the background are Scotland!
The Emerald Isle sure is beautiful.
Next stop (and post) – Giant’s Causeway…
