Bree Loves Bunnies

Bree has really gotten attached to a little pink rabbit. She pulls it close and kisses its little nose over and over. So much so that its pink nose has turned a bit gray, similar in color to her beloved and once-pink seahorse. And lately it seems that she has taken a liking to bunnies in general. She can point to the bunnies in our story books too.

Speaking of bunnies, we can add a new word to her repertoire: Boo (Bunny). We were looking at a book together last night when we started talking about a bunny on one of the pages. She got a little excited and pointed at it, exclaiming, “ee boo!” Then she got up and quickly made her way downstairs. (Have I mentioned that she has mastered climbing our stairs in just the last week or two, both up and down?) Anyway, I figured that was the end of that, so I started to get up. Before I knew it, Bree had climbed back up the stairs and was carrying her little pink bunny. “Ee boo! Boo!” She then went over to the book and started hopping her bunny on the bunny picture. She has been saying “boo” for awhile when she would kiss her little bunny but I didn’t make the connection until last night. It is so fun watching her personality bloom and grow.
