So today was Adrianna’s third day of kindergarten and second day of being taught at home.
One thing I already love about homeschooling is my chance to see first-hand just how much Adrianna already knows and also what we will need to work on. For instance, I found a great worksheet online where she had to fill in the missing numbers from a row of numbers, 1-10. It was a piece of cake for her to identify which number was missing and she happily wrote in each number. From there, I was able to see which numbers she could use practice on writing and which ones she already can write correctly. So nice! Now I know that we will only need to practice writing 2, 3, 4 and 5. The 3 and 4 simply because they are backwards. The 2 and 5 because they are backwards and a bit unidentifiable as well. But since the rest of her numbers were fabulous, if I do say so myself, we can skip over any worksheets requiring practice of those.
I am feeling so encouraged that we made the right decision to homeschool this year. I know that there will be frustrating times ahead but I am so thankful for this extra one-on-one time with my little girl.
That is great!
