Vacation Bible School

Wow, time is really slipping away from me. Has it really been several weeks since I have posted? Time for some catch-up posts!

I found out from a friend on Facebook that the church I grew up in was having Vacation Bible School during the first week in June. This friend’s father was going to be leading it. Brother Tom often led the VBS weeks when I was a kid too and I have fond memories of those weeks so when I heard this, I decided to take a last-minute trip to Wyoming so Adrianna could attend for a couple days.

On my way north, I remembered that Karen now lives right along the path I would be taking, so I called her up en route and asked if she was interested in coming along with myself and the girls. She was up for it, so half an hour later I picked her up and off we went.

I was pleased to unexpectedly run into a couple of friends at VBS. I also ran into a classmate and a former coworker at Pizza Hut when Karen and I went to lunch. The joys of a small town! Something I dearly miss. I also was able to visit with my friend, Kristy, for a few hours while Mom babysat the girls.

After VBS one afternoon, we visited the local pool. Mom, Karen, Adrianna, Bree and myself all swam. We enjoyed ourselves until it started raining large, cold rain drops, at which point we hurriedly left.

I love Adrianna’s swim suit. It is a three piece tankini (top, bottoms, and skirt). I wish I could find one similar to it in my size.
