Since we left the hospital a day early, Bree had a doctor appointment this morning to check her for jaundice and also to check her weight. Her weight was as expected (7 pounds). The doctor thought she did appear a little yellow so she had to get a blood test to check her bilirubin levels. The results came back this afternoon and I guess her levels were high enough that they want us to get her tested again tomorrow. So we will be headed back to the hospital tomorrow, Christmas day.
My family left this morning, so we are now on our own for awhile. Adrianna was sure sad to see her cousins and playmates leave! But now that they are gone and she is no longer distracted by play, she has taken an interest in Bree. Adrianna is eager to help out and is going to be such a great big sister.
Between the help my family provided and with Greg’s help as well, I have really enjoyed our time at home so far. Greg has been spending extra time playing with Adrianna to help with this transition from a family of three to four and it seems to be working well. I have been able to relax and spend lots of time just feeding and holding Bree. Even when she is asleep, I often don’t want to put her down and I just love holding and snuggling her close. I am so thankful for this time and for the cuddles.
I am so happy we got to spend time there in this awesome time in you 3 now 4 lives! 🙂 The kids had fun but were exteremely exhausted when we got home, we went straight out to eat and the lunch convo with kendall was Adrianna. hehe. Cute. Congrats again and i hope we can make it soon again to visit the little bundle.
We are so happy for you guys and your special delivery Christmas bundle. What a blessing! We are praising the Lord for a healthy, sweet baby–our little Baby Bree.
Merry Christmas to all four: Greg, Amber, Adrianna, and Bree! Love you so much! Amazing!
