Kristi came out to Colorado for a visit last week. Adrianna was Kristi’s shadow the entire time she was here. We had a busy week while Kristi was here, including a girls’ night at Macaroni Grill (while Greg was at a Reel Big Fish concert with some friends), an Open House at Adrianna’s preschool, a steak grill-out with Greg’s parents also in attendance, dinner at PF Changs, time spent in Estes Park and the Rocky Mountain National Park at the Horseshoe Park Alluvial Fan and on Fall River Road, and a hike that involved an up-close encounter with a rattlesnake. I wasn’t in attendance for the rattlesnake hike, so I will see if I can get Greg to provide the details for that hike in a later post.
On to Estes Park…
Friday afternoon, we went to Rocky Mountain National Park (after a yummy lunch in Estes Park). We first stopped at the Horseshoe Park Alluvial Fan as it is an easy and scenic walk to the waterfall.
While we were hiking around, it began to rain. And then it began to pour. We all ran back to the car. Well, everyone ran but me, that is. I waddled as fast as I could. 🙂
We then drove up Fall River Road. We also re-enacted our picture at the Chasm Falls Trail that we had taken the year before. (That picture is currently a part of my blog header above.)
We finished up our time in Estes with a rushed visit to the Alpine Visitor Center. It sure was chilly!
I will be posting more pictures to my Flickr account shortly.
Love the pics–thanks for posting! Miss you guys.
