20 Week Ultrasound – It’s a…

Girl!! We are thrilled to be having another little girl. Adrianna has been insisting for the past week that she was going to have a little sister, and was quick to point out that she was right.

The baby was very active and wiggly throughout the whole appointment. (For that matter, so was Adrianna.) As far as the ultrasound can show, everything seems fine and her measurements are in the 51st percentile and measuring right on.

After our appointment, the imaging tech had the radiologist take a look at the ultrasound pictures while we waited in the waiting room. I was called back to the ultrasound room for some additional pictures, which made me a little nervous and worried, but it turned out that some of the heart pictures just weren’t clear enough and he wanted some more. The first two probes they used weren’t able to get clearer pictures but then the third time was the charm and everything looked fine, much to my relief.

Baby girl was so active that between the first ultrasound pictures and the second just 10 minutes later, she had flipped her position entirely so that her head was on the opposite side.

I am very relieved that everything was good news. I am so in love with this little baby already and I cannot wait to meet her.

  1. I had been checking your blog everyday in anticipation of the news! I’m excited for you. I’m guessing that you are keeping baby girl Reimer’s first name a secret until she arrives as you did with Adrianna? Congrats – it’s so good to hear wonderful news!

  2. Yay for girls!!! 🙂 I loved having big sisters, so sweet two little girls! 🙂 And hey atleast you got a few years free of diapers before you start changing hundreds more! 🙂

  3. I am so thrilled for you!!!!!! TWO GIRLS, that will be a BLAST! 🙂 Hope you’ve been feeling okay and so thankful you saw and received great news with her ultrasound! 🙂

  4. I am really happy for you Amber! I would love to have two “little girls” someday, but Glenda had two boys…and since the gender supposedly comes from the father’s side…I may end up with a few rowdy boys (which will be fun too) 🙂
