We visited the Forced From Home Refugee interactive exhibit in Boulder, put on by Doctors Without Borders. Afterward, we played in the water and got ice cream.

Field Trip to NCAR
Field trip to National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR). All three girls enjoyed it.
Fowler Trail
The girls and I went hiking on Fowler Trail in Eldorado Canyon this morning. We had a lot of fun, except for the time where Bree lost her footing and slid (backwards) a few feet down a rocky area. She got pretty scraped up and cried for a long time, asking me over and over, […]
Library Field Trip
And then we spent some time at the library where one child accidentally set off a door’s emergency alarm and another one burnt her finger on a hot glue gun bad enough that we had to leave. (She’s fine but it hurts.) But the paper flower craft (made from an old book) she made is […]
Aquarium Field Trip
Of course, one of the highlights for Bree were the seahorses, but the girls enjoyed seeing all of the fish.
Circus 1903
Watching Circus 1903 with the girls at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, Buell Theater. Awesome show so far! There have been many instances where the girls had very astonished looks on their faces. Although the contortionist made me a bit squeamish!
Yearly Christmas Party
Every year, our homeschool options school has an elementary Christmas party at a local rec center and pool. The girls love it! First, crafts and lunch. Then, the highlight, swimming! And now we are all TIRED after swimming for two hours. Bree can now touch the bottom in the lazy river, which was very exciting […]
Gymnastics
Gymnastics party. The trampoline is always a hit.
Recycling Field Trip
I setup a field trip to the Boulder County Recycling Center for our homeschool group. It was really interesting and informative.
Bird Banding Field Trip
One of the highlights of our field trip to Barr Lake State Park yesterday was when Adrianna got to release one of the birds after it had been banded. It sat in her hand and had to be coaxed to fly away, much to Adrianna’s delight. I love Cate’s “binoculars.” Especially since she has a […]
