We spent several happy hours at Waneka Lake with our homeschool group. We had a nature scavenger hunt as we walked the 1.7 miles around the lake, followed by a picnic lunch and playing on the playground.

Young Entrepreneurs
One of the classes Adrianna is taking at her Homeschool Options school is Young Entrepreneurs. Each student has spent the semester learning about the basics of creating a business. Using a currency they came up with in class (Citybucks), they each had to purchase a business license, a patent for what they wanted to create […]
Box and Blanket Day
Box day! Our history and science curriculum is largely literature based and we just received a shipment of new books today. Yay for lots of new books! I hope Greg can get me some shelves built quickly. Another fun arrival this afternoon – Bree’s new weighted blanket. Ponies, of course. She really likes it so […]

Chihuly at Botanic Gardens
Homeschool Day at the Botanic Gardens. We loved the Chuhily sculptures! Bree enjoyed playing in the many leaves.

Homeschooling Requirements
As of today, we’ve met the state requirements of days/hours for our school year – YAY! I don’t think we’ve ever finished our school year so early! I feel like we really found our stride this year. (Just don’t tell Adrianna we are “done”, because I plan to continue some light schooling throughout the summer […]
