Bree loves to sing, even when she doesn’t know all of the words. The last couple days she has been singing “Jingle Bells” and “Jingle Bell Rock” with her own improvisations. Jingle Bells (the dashing through the snow part):”In a one horse open sleigh, In a one horse open sleigh, In a one horse open […]

Princess Mommy
I was scanning old photos today when Bree spotted one of Greg and I on our wedding day. Bree said, “Ooh, it is Princess Mommy!” I recall her calling me that one other time when she saw a picture of me in my wedding dress. So, so sweet.
Trunk-or-Treat, Hogwarts Style
I wish we would’ve taken more pictures of the van. We had gray bricks around it, a Gryffindor banner, and a smoking cauldron for Professor Snape. The cauldron was a huge hit with the kids! It was a fun Halloween and I’m glad Aunt Karen was able to join us. Note: When putting together a […]
Chihuly at Botanic Gardens
Homeschool Day at the Botanic Gardens. We loved the Chuhily sculptures! Bree enjoyed playing in the many leaves.
Miracles Therapeutic Riding
Adrianna loves her riding lessons (she started on October 1) and Bree is doing so well with her therapeutic riding at Miracles Therapeutic Riding. I am thankful they are getting this experience. Adrianna typically rides Kayro and Bree rides Folly. And I get to hang out with this sweet and busy toddler while her older […]
Flying Ponies
Bree: Mommy, I like to ride on flying ponies. But we don’t have flying ponies. She also was disappointed that there weren’t any unicorns at the zoo when we were there last week. At least she gets to pet real horses regularly at her horse therapy, including Folly, the beautiful Fjord horse.
Not a baby
When I told Bree that Aunt Karen was coming, she was very excited and jumped up and down. Until I told her that Karen was going to babysit her for a little while. Then she was indignant.”Why’s Kehwin coming to babysit? I not a BABY!” And then when Aunt Karen left, there were lots of […]
Great Sand Dunes
Our visit to Arrakis, er…I mean, the Great Sand Dunes in southern Colorado. I am currently reading “Dune” so it was hard not to picture it in my mind. hehe. Thankfully, there was no need for stillsuits! The idea of those gross me out. Tatooine came up in conversation while we were there, too. We […]
Bree – Preschool
On the recommendation of a friend who is a behavior analyst (who kindly spent many hours in our home observing Bree), we enrolled Bree in our local public preschool. I contacted Child Find to see if they could re-evaluate her to see if she still qualified for any services, and she did qualify. (They had […]
Lost Tooth
Yesterday evening, Bree (age 4) fell and knocked one of her top front teeth out. Greg was flying a remote-control flying object and Adrianna and Bree were excitedly chasing it. Bree slipped on the hardwood floor, started crying, and then we saw a tooth on the floor! She wouldn’t let us look into her mouth […]
