Made something new for breakfast this morning (chocolate malt-o-meal, which I liked as a child.) Adrianna was not a fan, and asked me, “Mom, I don’t like this. Aquarium Field Trip
Today was Homeschool Day at the Denver Aquarium. Since that means discounted entrance fees + fun classes, we were happy to attend! Since we also had horseback riding later in the day, Bree excitedly told me, “Today I will get to see TWO of my favorite animals – seahorses and horses!”
Books Read in January and February 2018
I finished 5 books over January and February. I sure am thankful for audiobooks or the number would have been a lot less. The Hobbit by JRR Tolkein (a repeat read for me but first time for my 12yo) Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie Frankenstein by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley Black Horses for […]
Destination Imagination

Learning to Read
Teaching a child to read is *not* one of my favorite things about homeschooling. It surely does try my patience. (Although I have to say that teaching place value is giving teaching reading a run for its money this year.) Progress IS being made, but oh, it’s so S…..L……O……W…… On the flip side, watching my […]
