Today was the perfect fall day to visit a local farm/pumpkin patch (7th Generation Farm in Louisville) with some of our Afghan friends.

Galaxy Outfit
Adrianna LOVES astronomy, particularly galaxies and black holes. She has an entire outfit (including headband and socks) that has a galaxy print, so of course she wanted a backpack to match. Now she just needs galaxy-print shoes.
Mary Poppins
Mary Poppins! The little girls were singing “Chim-Chimminee†all the way home. Thanks to Dad and Debbie for a fun afternoon at the Candlelight Dinner Theater.
Cake
We got to see Cake in concert for the second time. It was at a brewery, and we foolishly showed up early, not realizing that most of the day was meant for drinking and the actual show wasn’t to start until much, MUCH later. But we enjoyed the show nonetheless.
Mad Caddies
Last night, Greg and I got to see the Mad Caddies perform again in Denver. (This was my third time to see them live, Greg’s fourth. ) Opening for them was Jon Gazi and Younger Than Neil. It was an awesome show!
Twenty Years
TWENTY YEARS. It isn’t our wedding anniversary, but today is still a big milestone for us. Twenty years ago today Greg came into the Godfather’s Pizza where I was working and asked me out on a date. I’m so glad he did. The picture of the left was taken by Adrianna during a visit to […]
Chip
The girls got to meet Chip (the CU mascot) yesterday at an event in Boulder yesterday. We were there with the Friends of International Students to meet a student from China, Yiou (pronounced Ee-Oh). When we learned Yiou hadn’t been to the mountains yet, we took her for a quick drive up to NCAR.
Peter / Pizza
We watched the anime movie Mary and the Witch’s Flower with the girls last week. The characters speak with a British accent and one of the main characters has the name of Peter. Cate asked us, confusedly, “Why is that boy’s name ‘Pizza’?” And I’ve now been hearing the name ‘Pizza’ being used in some […]
Rockies Game
Picnic and a Rockies Game (compliments of Greg’s employer). This was the first Rockies game for Bree and Cate. Adrianna had attended one when she was much younger. It was a lot of fun explaining baseball to Adrianna and Bree as the game went on. Of course, our Breezy girl had to plug her ears […]
Dwelling
I Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Twitter feed. And I love this post he made. I can’t begin to count how many times I’ve lost sleep over words I’ve said or things I wish I would have said.
