Thursday 13 – Songs I can listen to Over and Over
We have over 4000 songs on our iPod, but there are some songs that stand out for me and are ones that I can listen to over and over and over again.
- Trolleywood by Eisley
- Reasons Why by Nickel Creek
- Crazy by Patsy Cline
- Walkin’ After Midnight by Patsy Cline
- The Distance by Cake
- I Will Survive by Cake
- Beautiful by James Blunt
- Masquerade by Caedmon’s Call
- Shifting Sand by Caedmon’s Call
- Roam by Lijie
- Foolish Games by Jewel
- Restore by Sherri Youngward
- Blue by LeAnn Rimes
77% of the songs listed above have female vocalists. I am pretty sure this isn’t a coincidence, as a large part of the criteria I use when picking my favorite songs is how much I enjoy singing along to them. And what of the three songs I listed with male vocalists? James Blunt is a tenor, so I can sing along to Beautiful. And Cake, well, they are just plain fun to listen to even if I cannot sing along.
hey umber wanna play cards?
I like Cake also but James Blunt is one of my least favorite singers and the lyrics to Beautiful are pretty annoying to me. But I know I am in the minority there since it’s sold a bijillon copies.
Great list!! I might just have to steal that idea…. =)
