This blanket Adrianna is using is so special to me. It was made for me, when I was a baby, by my Grandmother. I am glad that Adrianna has fallen in love with it now too. She often asks for her “Andy Andy” blanket.
Sometimes I would wonder if I should let her use it or if I should keep it tucked away somewhere “safe”, but then I decided that Adrianna’s love for this blanket is a great opportunity to teach her about her Great-Grandma and build memories of her in this special way. And I remember that memories are even more important than the actual items that evoke them. Which I guess is part of the reason why I feel scrapbooking is so important too. So we can be reminded of those special events and unlock those memories that sometimes can be forgotten with time.
