Adrianna typically wakes up around 8:00 every morning. On weekends, we leave her in her crib a little longer as while we try to sleep in later and she is usually content to play or talk to her animals until 8:30 or 9:00. Sometimes the playing consists of her stripping all her clothes and diaper off and/or throwing all the contents of her crib onto the floor, sheet included.
Yesterday, when Greg went to get her out, he was presented with a new scenario. Not only was she naked, but instead of throwing her diaper on the floor she had put it on her Care Bear instead. She did a good job too; it was on correctly and even the legs were sticking out of the leg-holes.
However, the diaper was heavily-laden with pee, which is normal after a long night. And being a stuffed animal, Care Bear soaked some of that wetness up.
Even though this Care Bear is supposed to be surface washable only, a surface wash wasn’t going to cut it. So Care Bear got her first dip in the washing machine on the hand-wash cycle, stuffed in a pillow-case with its end tied up. I am pleased to say that she came out of it okay, but she is no longer lavender scented like she was when we first got her. But at least the only scent emitting from her now is laundry detergentish rather than the smell that the diaper had transferred to her.
And she’s even got her little camera smile going as you capture the moment. How hilarious.
