Christmas 2007

This year, we spent Christmas with Greg’s family in Kansas. We left on Friday, December 21st, right in the middle of a snowstorm. The visibility got so bad that we didn’t get very far, and ended up having to spend the night at a hotel in Limon, CO. Even though the hotel gouged us on pet fees ($20 per dog!), we were glad to get one of the last available rooms.

We made it to our destination on Saturday afternoon. Kristi, Jeff, and Jess all had to contend with bad weather on their drives from the east/north as well, but we all made it, safe and sound.

On Christmas Eve, after the Candlelight Service, we had the traditional Reimer Christmas Eve dinner consisting of waffles. Yum! I won’t divulge how many I ate, but it was a lot. We also opened gifts.

Adrianna got some cute outfits and some dishes for her kitchen set.

Greg received a coffeemaker from his Secret Santa (Jess) and I received a pair of sweet boots from my Secret Santa (Kristi). I will try to post a picture of them later, because they are THAT COOL.

We also took a picture of the two cousins. Getting them to both sit still was a challenge.

And of course we took a family picture.

Adrianna really enjoyed being spoiled by her Grammy and Grampy. Not only did Grammy volunteer to put her to bed every night and read her countless books, but they also built a snowman and snow angels.

I know I am missing a lot of the great details regarding how fun our Christmas break was (except for when Adrianna contracted pinkeye), and for that I apologize, but I have to be to work in 7 hours and with a half hour commute that doesn’t leave me a lot of time for sleep tonight. I hate mornings, especially early ones.
