A Rumbly on the Floor

Adrianna is learning our “real” names and her full name as well. She says that she is “Adiwawa Gace Whymoh.” Greg is “Deg Whymoh” and I am “Mommy Whymoh.” For some reason she forgets my name more than Greg’s.

She is also a great mimicker. When dinner is ready, I will call upstairs to Greg, “Greg, dinner’s ready!” She will walk to the stairs and also call up, “Deg, dinnohs weady!”

Tonight she took the first name mimicking even further. She and Greg were playing on the floor, when all of a sudden there was a loud rumbling against the floor. It was Greg, of course. Adrianna accusedly said, “Deggoh!” Her intonation sounded a lot like me when I often admonish him for the same thing, saying “Greggor!”
