I am currently in the bathroom as Adrianna takes a bath. (She likes to play in the water for extended periods of time, so I usually just bring my laptop into the room with us so I have something to do while she splashes around.) Just now, even as she sat in a bathtub full of clean water, she tried to turn on the faucet so she could “wash hands.” They are so wrinkly from the water already, I am not sure what good that would do…
Speaking of bathwater, I let her play with little cups in the bathtub and she loves transferring the water from cup to cup. She also likes to drink the water. The drinking of the bathwater drives me crazy. But I guess if I am honest and think back to when I was a kid, I liked to lay below the bathtub faucet (when it was off) and catch any of the leftover water droplets on my tongue. For some reason I thought they tasted extra good when coming straight off the metal faucet. I turned out okay, so I suppose there are other behavior battles to be won that are more important.
I was worse…I used to dip the wash cloth in the water and then suck on it! I guess I liked the way the water tasted after coming through the cloth hehe.
Oooh, come to think of it, I did that too. Just don’t tell Adrianna. I don’t want to give her any ideas. 🙂
