Celebrating 18 years of marriage today. Our server asked for our advice on staying married for so long and told us that she would require an answer before she would let us have our dessert. hehe.
It’s hard to narrow everything down to just a few lines and any marriage will always be a work in progress, but we came up with communication, learning that it is more important to work things out than it is to win an argument, and having some shared interests that we regularly make time to do together. And since our families are on here, the rest of our thoughts will remain unsaid, even though those things are important as well. 
18 years sounds like a long time to me. Though our wedding day feels like another lifetime ago (we’ve both changed and grown so much!), at the same time it feels like the last 18 years have flown by and I am thankful for every one of them and hopeful for many more.
