This weekend, our family joined thousands of others and drove up to Wyoming to be in the solar eclipse’s path of totality. (Thank you to my sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Kendall, for hosting us and to Karen for making the long drive with us!)
Even though our drive home was twice as long as normal due to traffic (what is usually 5.5 hours was closer to 10-11 hours and we got home at 2:15 a.m!) it was TOTALLY WORTH IT. Experiencing the totality of the eclipse was breathtaking and amazing and really special. I can see why there are “eclipse chasers” and the girls are already wanting to plan a trip to Texas in 7 years to view the next one.
