Today we are remembering and celebrating the life of Greg’s Grandfather, Elmer Reimer. As my mother-in-law so perfectly put it, Elmer Reimer was “Husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, pastor, evangelist, missionary, Sunday School teacher, camp speaker, home-builder, piano technician, appliance repairman, known to many as Uncle Elmer.”
Wyoming/Camp Grace friends, Elmer Reimer even preached at Camp Grace once, though I believe it would have been many years before we attended camp there. (Thought that was a neat connection!)
Our Cate was named for Elmer’s wife (Greg’s grandmother, Catharina “Tina”) who went to be with the Lord several years ago. Elmer and Tina dedicated their lives to following Jesus and serving, loving, and praying for others, and I am happy to have the honor of being their granddaughter-in-law.
