There are many days like today where, as a homeschool mom, I struggle in finding the balance between the list of “school work” I want my girls to accomplish while still allowing them freedom to pursue their interests.
I 
that Adrianna will spend lots of time on the keyboard, composing or arranging her own music but I also know she wants to pursue something in science or computers someday so she needs to get her math work done, too. Then there are those times where Adrianna is playing My Little Ponies with her younger sisters; something that happens less and less as she gets older. I just cannot interrupt these precious times. I guess the “list” will have to wait.
I am just trying to find the balance and remember the reason we homeschool them in the first place: so that they have extra time to pursue interests, develop relationships, and become who God created them to be. #aDayintheLifeofaHomeschoolMom
