Greg and I aren’t fond of making decisions or having to plan things, so when our vacation plans to Phoenix (to visit family) fell through on the evening before we were to leave, we weren’t sure what to do. I was stressed about having to make new plans. So we came up with the idea going on a vacation without set plans and see where we’d end up. (With the exception of the night in Moab with friends, which had been part of the original plan.) This worked out great for us! We traveled on a lot of roads we’d never been on before, enjoying the sights. And we made our way through Yosemite and ended up at the Pacific Ocean. We may just have to plan on not planning our next vacation in the same way. And I do hope to make it to Phoenix sometime. Maybe just not in the height of summer.
Our overnight stop on our way back home was in Las Vegas at a casino. We didn’t gamble, but the room was big (and cheap) and the outdoor pool was fun.
