Greg decided (like many people in our country) that the extra time at home would be a good time to make some homemade bread.
I originally played an Animal Crossing game several Nintendo versions ago and enjoyed it, so it is fun to see the girls getting into the new rendition of the game, Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Weekly Family Chat
We started out using Facetime but later decided the Zoom is a much better option. The moving windows of Facetime (below) were a bit annoying. But still so thankful for technology so we can “see” the faces of our loved ones during this time of social distancing.

We’ve been happy to have a couple of American Goldfinches visiting us regularly now. A male and a female. In previous years, we saw one from time to time in our neighborhood and even our front yard, but now that we have this new feeder, they visit our backyard every day.

Cate learned how to make herself some grilled cheese (with a little help from Dad in using the stove.)

Greg worked a bunch of overtime last weekend, so he was able to take the afternoon off so we could take a little hike. We wanted to go on a weekday when the trail would be less busy. As we got further along the trail and it was less “people-y” we were able to take off our masks.
It was the first time the girls had been in the car for at least 50 days. The little girls were pretty excited and thought it was a thrill, even saying “whee” as we went around corners. LOL
