For Thanksgiving this year, the Reimer clan congregated and Sean and Kristi’s house in KC.
Denver had received a foot of snow on the Monday/Tuesday before Thanksgiving, so we were thankful that the roads were improved by the time we left on Thursday. Though the interstate between Limon and Colby was a little dicey in parts and we saw quite a few jackknifed semis on the side of the road. (We could tell they were recent, too, as the drivers were still in the cabs and/or police were there helping.) After Colby, the roads were better but it was drizzling for the remainder of the way.
Once we arrived in KC, the cousins spent many hours playing, drawing, or playing video games. (Even some of the adults played video games, specifically the old “New Tetris” and Dr. Mario.)

Lillian brought her typewriter and everyone contributed (anonymously) in typing lines to a fiction story. It was a creative and fun idea!

On Saturday, we drove to Grammy and Grampy’s so that we could check on the progress being made on their basement renovation and house addition. We stopped at Freddy’s on the way.
Then we headed home on Sunday morning (after spending an hour looking for my purse, which had gone missing! We tore the house and van apart looking for it and even called Freddy’s where I’d had it the night before.) We eventually did find it, thankfully!
