At 1:45, it was time to meet up with my tour group at the Molly Malone statue for an afternoon trip to Glendalough. (It was a bus tour through Paddywagon Tours.) On the way, we also made a quick stop at Lough Tay (also known as The Guinness Lake) in the Wicklow Mountains.
Once we got to the Glendalough area, we were able to explore this ancient Monastic Settlement. It was so peaceful and beautiful.
An old cathedral from 11th/12th century AD.
Along the trail to the two lakes. Glendalough comes from the Irish Gleann Dá Loch, which means valley of two lakes.

After I returned to Dublin, it was time to meetup with Greg and his coworkers at The Church, a fancy restaurant north of the Liffey. They even had live music and Irish dancers, which was fun.
Then we walked back to the Temple Bar area and our apartment.
All in all, between my sightseeing, and walking all over Dublin, and hiking around Glendalough, I walked 10.76 miles on Monday! No wonder I was tired when I finally got back to the apartment.
