For a year now, Adrianna has been asking to visit “Party Stars”. At first when she would talk about Party Stars on the way home from school, I didn’t know what she was talking about until she finally pointed out the location to me. The real place is a bowling place that has a brightly lit sign with fun shooting stars. Thus, her calling it “Party Stars”.
Earlier this month Greg and I decided it would be fun to have a family night, so we took Adrianna to Party Stars. I think I bowled more gutter balls in one game than I ever have before. Somehow, midway through the game, I recovered and ended up beating Greg by 1 point. Adrianna was only like 8 or 9 points behind our scores.
Bree slept the entire time. She seems to take good naps when we are in places with a lot of background noise. Too bad she doesn’t take such good naps at home!
Adrianna had a tendency to roll her ball in such a way that it would bounce. Toward the end of the game, it ended up bouncing OVER the bumper and into the lane next to ours. Poor Greg ran to retrieve the ball from the other lane before it interrupted our neighbor’s game and learned the hard way that the lanes are extremely slick, totally falling on his butt. I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time. I had tears streaming down my face and could not stop giggling for a long time. (His neck hurt later, after we got home. Probably from whiplash. Then I felt a little bad for laughing, but it truly was a comical sight at the time.)
