Time for Myself

Adrianna was chattering at me nonstop today, which is a normal occurrence. It started with her making seemingly random scribbles on the whiteboard and wanted me to guess what they were.

Adrianna: “What’s this one, Mom? Nope, try again! How about this one. No, it’s not a ghost. Try again!”

I quickly tired of the game and told her I didn’t want to play anymore for awhile.

Adrianna: “Well, will you do X with me?”

Me: “No, thanks.”

Adrianna: “Will you do Y with me?”

Me: “Not right now, sweetie.”

Adrianna: “Well, what do you want to do?”

Me: “I just want to sit quiet and I don’t want to do anything. I just need some time to myself.”

Adrianna: “But Mommy, I don’t think you’ll ever get any time to yourself because you’ll have little girls boddering (bothering) you.”
