Well, I never got around to blogging about Grammy and Grampy’s visit at the end of August but I did just finish up a couple simple scrapbook pages about it, so I guess this’ll work. 🙂

Grammy and Grampy like to come visit us a lot more now that we have two adorable little girls for them to spoil and cuddle! We were happy to have them come visit us for a week at the end of August.
It sure didn’t take Bree long to warm up to them. Adrianna loved to play Legos with Grammy and was excited to show them her new Mario Galaxy video game. She even talked Grammy into playing MarioKart on the Wii!
Grammy and Adrianna baked a special “surprise” birthday cake for Greg and I: A rainbow cake made of jelly bellies and marshmallows.
We took advantage of the free day at the Denver Botanic Gardens. Their new rooftop children’s exhibit had just opened the week prior and the wading stream was a hit with Adrianna.

On Saturday, we decided to take a trek to spend the afternoon in scenic Estes Park, Colorado.
It was a wonderful, cool day. We had a nice picnic lunch along the river in town. We took a leisurely stroll and played the role of tourists at the shops along the main drag, trying not to get too wet in the rain.
On our way back out of town, we stopped at the Bald Pate Inn and had some delicious pie for dessert and took in the amazing mountain view from their deck.
We rounded out the beautiful day with dinner at Oscar Blues in Lyons.
Thanks for all the fun memories, Grammy and Grampy!
Oh…..fun memories! Can you believe I can say it was just too short?!?! 🙂
Hope the home schooling is going well this week. I have heard so many good comments about Sonlight curriculum.
