Family Pictures

Adrianna is a budding artist, at least in her proud Momma’s opinion. It is so much fun watching her drawings evolve and get more detailed. I cannot look at them without smiling, which may be in part because her characters are always smiling too. It warms my heart that she draws so many happy pictures of her family. Some of her other favorite things to draw are butterflies, rainbows, hearts, flowers, unicorns, our dogs, fairies and Super Mario Brothers characters.

Mommy and Adrianna
This picture really impressed me because she even colored our clothing to match the outfits we were wearing that day. I love how she has started giving her girl characters curly hair. She also gave me brown hair and herself yellow hair.

Mommy and Daddy Hugging
A simple, quick drawing that she gave me. I love that she drew a picture of her parents showing affection to each other. 🙂

She brings me so many papers like these. I cannot bear to part with them. I have keeping some of my favorites in a binder with page protectors. I plan on keeping those long-term. But there are still so many other cute little drawings! So tonight I have started an art box so that I can keep the others, at least for now. My plan is that she and I can go through the art box at a later date and decide together if we should keep any more long-term. We’ll see how that goes. I have a hard time getting rid of anything that has sentimental value.

  1. Nice drawing and coloring, Adrianna! You are getting to be a really good artist!

    Love,

  2. Darling artwork! I know what you mean about those sentimental things, Amber. I have all of the art work Tori and Rina did for me and the art projects we did toether when they were little in my cedar chest. Hey if one of them does become a famous artist, the Santa-Picasso at age 3 could be worth something! To me they are all already priceless!
